PINK MARBLE

Pink Marble is defined as a metamorphosed limestone So a marble is also   called a "recrystallized limestone". The dark band visible in some samples is  layered biotite. The pinkish colour of this marble is caused by trace amount ofimpurity, probably iron oxide.
